Doesn't the 360 have the most powerful GPU of a console...? It is the SPU of the PS3 that makes everything so pretty. Give the 720 multi-core processing.
Man, I said Sly Cooper...and I forgot Heroes on the Move!
That too.
I saw a promo display of an autostereoscopic monitor for PC gaming at Fry's right about the same time Avatar opened last year.
This is old hat. Autostereoscopic displays already exist and available to those who can afford them. It's coming, even if stereoscopic 3D - which requires glasses - bombs like everyone expects it to.
I'm really impressed. The first one was absolutely stellar though simple. This looks even more brilliant.
Sony - I'm officially on the Move bandwagon because of these games:
Echochrome II
Sorcery
Killzone 3
Heavy Rain
Sly Cooper
All hardcore. Much love is being felt emanating from my PS3.
I almost forgot about Coca-Cola...that'd be huge. Better than that other singer Justin whose last name doesn't rhyme with member rake.
No worries.
Agrees and Disagrees mean next to nothing most of the time.
Lithium batteries are rechargeable batteries.
Kinect isn't a true 3D camera - it can't render a picture of your butt if you are always facing front. It makes an approximate 3D model using visual cues. The PSEye can do the same, although it will be cruder.
Plus, just because the technology is different, doesn't necessarily mean gameplay will be.
@lams12
Yes, you're right. Similarly Kinect will have some good games, d...
THERE'S A SHORTAGE. Sony has on multiple occasion alerted us to a fact of a shortage. It is not deep.
You're saying some dumb things -
"making $300 of 120GB"? - More like $50.
"looking to turn even bigger profit" - Not if they are buying for $200.
See? You don't know jack about business. Gamestop cops defective PS3 for $100. If they sell for $250 used, it isn't a big deal.
Metal Gear is bigger than any console.
Exactly why Gamestop has to offer $200 bucks for 'em.
There's a shortage. Not enough new PS3s are being made, and people are buying up the old ones.
All the songs on my PS3 were copied directly from my ipod. Great for the PS3's superior sound.
BTW I think the PS3 is HDMI 1.4, which is 3D capable. Could be wrong.
The 360 gets it next year. The PS3 and Apple devices are getting it next week or sometime real soon.
We need people seeing imaginary fanboys everywhere as much as we need actual fanboys. And your arguing over subscription Hulu with ads.
Only two can play at a time. You can have up to six-player.
Besides Microsoft doesn't want six people flapping their arms at once - legal reasons.
Only room for two anyway when you think about it...
but it can keep track of six people during a game in regards to facial recognition. I think that's impressive.
I would love to have Kinect built into my laptop, so only I can get in even without a password. Why is Microsoft wasting this on the XBox again?
Going from alkaline to lithium was a significant step for batteries, but at the end of the day it is just a battery. PSEye and Kinect are kind of the same way. At the end of the day it is a game camera - with camera games.
There's no accounting for taste. Some months might prove less than stellar for some, I'm sure.
Plus there are some games that are so awesome...you bought them months ago. Here we have Infamous and Wipeout - both games I got the very first day.
I just don't buy a lot of PSN games, at least not right now.
It's only $50, and it is a year's investment. So maybe soon.
EDIT:
I'm getting it, just to...
Wipeout is my favorite racer. The amount of skill it takes to play Zone is zen like, and the level design is fun and lends itself to the gameplay in very novel ways.
3D glasses do suck, especially when you already wear glasses. But at least everything is not red and green.
I'm sure Sony knows about the tech the 3DS uses, as other companies are exploring its uses. It's cool Sony sees 3DS favorably as part of a greater movement.
